The days are longer and the colder months are finally drawing to a close, which can only mean one thing: Spring has almost sprung. And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than on Oxford Street, be that with a spot of shopping, a beauty makeover or some tasty food.
Shop some Spring/Summer 2025 fashion trends
There’s no better way to embrace a new season than by adding a few new trends to your existing wardrobe. But to give you a brief overview of what’s on offer on Oxford Street, there’s a shop for everyone, including the flagship stores for your favourite brands. For women, try Mango or Zara for affordable trend-led clothing, or Selfridges and Flannels for some beautiful designer finds. Of course, you can’t not visit the iconic British John Lewis or M&S department stores either. For men, try BOSS or Hawes & Curtis for great tailored pieces, and JD Sports or Uniqlo for more casual fashion. And that’s just the top of the iceberg, there are plenty of kids, beauty and tech shops too.
Have a makeover
You don’t need to have a full on makeover to feel good about yourself, rather, take the time to indulge in some pampering. Especially since Winter often means dry, dull skin. From speedy 30-minute treatments to full-blown spa days, you can indulge at your leisure on Oxford Street. For fast feel-good appointments, you can try Rawr, Primark’s beauty bar, where you can enjoy manis, pedis and eyebrow waxes amongst other things. At Dyson’s Beauty Lab, you can get a blow dry too, and many of the makeup counters at Selfridges and John Lewis offer mini makeovers when you purchase products too. Then of course, there is Lush Spa, where you can easily spend an entire day. There, you’ll find plenty of treatments on offer, from 25-minute scalp massages and 30-minute rejuvenating facials to 80-minute full body massages. And don’t worry, there’s something for the men too, including hair and beard styling and grooming, as well as waxing and manicures at Intimissimi Uomo and Ted’s Grooming Room.
Spruce up your house
If you want the lowdown on all the big SS25 home trends – and everything else – you can shop them in our guide here. But if you want a quick spruce up of your home for the new season, we recommend adding some pops of colour and refreshing prints (think florals and geometric patterns), as well as some greenery, as a way to bring the outdoors in and mimic the changing of the seasons outside. Here are some of our favourite affordable home buys right now.
Embrace outdoor dining
You don’t need temperatures to hit the high 20s to enjoy the sights London has to offer – in fact there are plenty of restaurant terraces from which you can admire views of the capital. Plus, many restaurants have heaters and blankets on their terraces, in case there is a cold Spring spell. Some of our favourites include Alto by San Carlo, on the rooftop of Selfridges, which serves up seasonal Italian dishes. Nearby at the BoTree hotel, there is LAVO another Italian restaurant with a charming patio area that is a real sun trap in the afternoon. Further up the street you’ll find the Treehouse, an eco-friendly hotel with a rooftop terrace and restaurants specialising in seasonal cocktails and produce.
Enjoy some culture
For those rainy Spring days, a spot of culture is just the ticket. At Frameless, you can enjoy some art talks, as well as four galleries showcasing some of the world’s greatest works of art in unexpected ways. For something you’ll be talking about for months to come, try The Outernet, a one-of-a-kind venue with record-breaking screens that host digital art, music performances and more. For the active amongst you, feel nostalgic at Swingers and enjoy old-school arcade games and a round of crazy golf – guaranteed to be a fun afternoon for all involved!
