Want to add a fresh twist to your wardrobe, home or life this year but unsure where to start? We’ve rounded up this year’s very top trends for fashion, interiors and more to give you all the inspiration you need.
Fashion trends
There are so many fashion trends to choose from this year, planning your Spring wardrobe has never been so fun. Whether you’re dipping in with accessories, or going for the full look, these are the trends you can’t ignore: grunge, beige, florals, sporty and masculine. For the grunge trend, think less ripped trousers and tank tops and more plaid dresses paired with chunky boots. Beige will be the colour to wear this Summer, and will look as chic on a utilitarian jumpsuit as it will on a shift dress or trench coat. Florals for Spring are nothing new, but for 2025, they’re going Gothic and romantic with darker shades and luxurious fabrics. Shell suits, polo shirts, windbreakers and bomber jackets will tick off the sporty trend for the year, while anything oversized, including sharp tailoring, is the way to succeed at the masculine trend this season.
Interior trends
While we all want to achieve the perfect timeless home, there’s no harm in updating things a bit with an accessory or two that will make it oh-so-2025. Of course, no one can ignore Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse, which you can effortlessly pepper around your home on everything from lamps to cushions. All white interiors are out in favour of bright jewel tones, including deep reds and blues. Patterns are big news as well, and if you don’t want to go too bold with a big floral sofa, try incorporating them into your soft furnishings. Organic shapes are still going strong: think irregular-shaped mirrors and objects. Finally, don’t forget your lighting: make it art deco or decorative this year.
Tech trends
The nature of tech is that there will always be new gadgets launched, all the time, however if we were to invest in five key pieces of tech this year, based on trends, it would be a big TV (plenty of brands like Samsung are bringing in screens that are brighter and more power efficient) to stream all your shows on, a robot vacuum to make tidying a breeze, a high tech laptop (think touch screen, faster, AI powered), a health gadget (a smart ring or blood pressure monitor get our vote) and a smart coffee machine that caters to all your caffeine needs at the press of a button.
Food trends
Food trends come and go, but this year we are seeing some of last year’s trends going even stronger, as well as some emerging ones to be excited about. As dry January carries into the rest of the year, non-alcoholic drinks and mixers are even tastier than ever (you’d have us fooled), while comfort food with a hint of nostalgia is just what you need on dreary days. Pickled foods – think kimchi and pickles – are making a surprising comeback as we look after our gut health, while pistachios are set to become the nut of the year. And as we become more environmentally-focused, our attention is turning to sustainable snacks that won’t hurt the planet.
Wellness trends
Every January starts with the best intentions to lead a healthier lifestyle, but these soon start slipping come February. That said, here are some wellness trends that you’ll be seeing all year round, and they don’t just involve workouts. Sleep is the best medicine, and there are plenty of ways to improve your nights, from pillow sprays to white noise machines. Your mental health is also high on the agenda this year, and whether that means affirmation cards, relaxation or meditation, make sure you make the time for it. Hydration is key this year too, with plenty of accessories and waters boosted with minerals and electrolytes to make sure you get your fill of H20. Wearable tech such as smart rings and watches are performing even harder this year, helping you track everything from your heart rate to your sleep. In terms of exercise, weight training, whether at home or at the gym, seems to be the workout to do in 2025.
