For an on-the-go coffee in between shops or a cocktail with friends to a relaxing family meal after a full day out, there are a huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafés in and around Oxford Street to satisfy every taste. From 12th April, many will be reopening with outdoor seating in line with Government regulations. Check out our roundup below of the top spots.
The Montagu Summer Terrace
The Montagu Summer Terrace will transport you to a tranquil seaside marina offering a mouth-watering menu of fresh seafood and chilled wines in a relaxed outdoor setting. Decked out in a nautical theme, the alfresco terrace has been transformed into a harbour-like hideaway, swapping views of yachts for the leafy green gardens of exclusive Portman Square.
For killer cocktails and stylish alfresco dining, Harry’s Bar has it all. Serving a slice of the ‘Dolce Vita’ in the heart of the West End, this Italian is just a stone’s throw from Oxford Street in St Christopher’s Place.
Alto by San Carlo
Set high above the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, this spectacular Italian hideaway on the roof of Selfridges will be reopening for food and drinks in a stunning garden setting.
Don’t be shy at this noodle hotspot as their ramen is slurpingly good. Bone Daddies has a great outdoor area or offers takeaway if you prefer to gnaw on your Korean wings and fried chicken in private (we get it).
Tucked away in the hidden courtyard at Lancashire Court in Mayfair, Hush boasts a beautiful courtyard with full table service and drinks straight from its award-winning cocktail bar.
Japanese restaurant Aqua Kyoto will be reopening its heated outdoor terrace for dining. The perfect place to both impress and unwind choose from mouth-watering sushi, robata grill and delicious cocktails all with impressive views of London.
Ole & Steen
A household name in their native Denmark, Ole & Steen’s all-day bakeries have become a firm favourite in the capital and have remained open during pandemic for takeaway.
They say no-one else made burgers like them and we’re happy to believe them as Honest’s burgers are finger-lickin’ good. And great news is that their outdoor area at its Market Place restaurant is opening again on the 12th April.
Euphorium is the beloved local bakery of many Londoners with its scrummy cakes, bread and pastries and coffee to die for. We recommend at least one visit a day…maybe two.
For freshly prepared Lebanese it has to be Lazeez. ‘Lazeez’ means tasty, so you know what to expect from this Mayfair restaurant. It’s Duke Street Terrace is opening on 12th April.
