Coachella officially kicked off festival season on 11th April and the UK festival scene is on the horizon. Whether you’re going to Glastonbury or Wireless in the UK, travelling to Europe for more festivals or doing the entire circuit, you’ll need to look the part. So we’ve curated some outfits depending on your style personality, all of which you can shop on Oxford Street.
The boho look
Hands up if 00s Sienna Miller was your style icon? She championed the boho trend thanks to peasant blouses, disc belts, crochet tops, denim, floaty dresses, fedora hats and statement jewellery and we loved it. Luckily, the boho trend is back in full force this season, so you can embrace your inner Sienna with these buys from Oxford Street.
The coastal cowgirl
Missed the coastal cowgirl trend that was all over TikTok last year? It just happens to be the perfect look for a festival. This isn’t just about fringing, denim and suede (although they do play a big part), it’s also about mixing laid-back, beach attire with western elements like Cowboy boots and Stetson hats. Perfect for summer. Look to Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Dua Lipa for inspiration.

The 80s look
Consider yourself a bit more of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Debbie Harry type? Then you’re looking for an 80s-inspired look – and that doesn’t mean it has to look costume-y or dated. A band t-shirt, mini skirt or jeans, leather jacket, plaid shirt, gold jewellery and Stan Smiths are all timeless pieces you can wear whether you’re at a festival or not.

The 90s look
For the minimalists at heart, you can’t go wrong with a 90s-inspired look, which feels timeless to this day. Think a slip dress (preferably layered over a white t-shirt), Dr Martens boots or sleek trainers, denim hot pants, etc. Kate Moss is always a good inspiration for this. You can also go down the girl band route and opt for a tank top, cargos and colourful athleisure.

The non-negotiable accessories
A British festival wouldn’t be British without unpredictable weather, so you’ll have to pack accessories to cover all eventualities, from heatwaves to downpours. Wellies, of course, are a must, with Hunter wellies being the footwear of choice for celebrities like Alexa Chung and Kate Moss. Then you’ll need some cool sunglasses (fingers crossed for a bit of sunshine), a hat (baseball caps are in right now), a waterproof jacket and statement jewellery.
