June marks Pride month and there are plenty of ways to mark the occasion in central London. From thought-provoking exhibitions and workshops to celebratory brunches and performances, discover what’s happening on Oxford Street.

 

Experience an audio-visual art exhibition

Proud West End is a free outdoor exhibiton that tells the stories of the West End’s LGBTQIA+ community. Created in partnership with Heard Storytelling, look forward to beautiful, large-scale portraits of 15 individuals and get a glimpse into their journeys by scanning a QR code. The stories are real, authentic, lived experiences that you won’t want to miss.

Receive a bespoke poem

While exploring the Proud West End exhbition, keep an eye out for the Poetry Takeaway van serving up something truly special. Receive a free poem, handwritten just for you and performed by a group of diverse and talented poets. It’s the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one.

Visit one of the oldest gay pubs in London

For an evening of eclectic cocktails, live performances and all round good vibes, the City of Quebec pub should be high on the list! Established in 1946, this iconic establishment is proud to be one of the oldest traditional gay pubs in London. And as it’s located on the same road as the Proud West End exhibition, why not pull up a chair and marvel at the photographic art from the outdoor terrace?

Tuck into a Pride-themed brunch at Boom Battle Bar

Don your sequins and celebrate Pride with a fabulous brunch at Boom Battle Bar, where some of the UK’s best drag queens will be your hosts. Create portraits with purpose at VANS

Step into VANS for a free Pride themed photography workshop that’s open to anyone. Hosted by National Geographic photographer Robin Hammond and the Witness Change Foundation, you’ll learn how to level up your portrait photography and storytelling skills to help you share the true story of Pride.
