New seasonal sensations at The Wigmore Pub

If there’s one thing that we can all agree on, it’s that nothing beats a perfect toastie. Golden, crunchy on the outside, gooey and indulgent on the inside, it’s the ultimate comfort food that is ideal for the arrival of autumn.

The Wigmore Pub | Oxford Street

The Wigmore Pub, the modern British gastropub at The Langham, has announced the return of its legendary Toastie Takeover Series and trust us, this isn’t your average cheese on toast. Overseen by culinary icon Michel Roux, The Wigmore has elevated the toastie into a cult classic. Now, for the third year running, they’re inviting some of Britain’s top chefs to give the XXL Stovetop 3 Cheese & Mustard Toastie a seasonal twist.

Here’s what’s sizzling on the menu

September – James Mackenzie (Pipe and Glass Inn)
Next up, Yorkshire’s own James Mackenzie brings heart and heritage to the grill. His toastie layers salt beef brisket, Yorkshire Blue cheese, rhubarb pickle, watercress, and pickled red onion salad. It’s the kind of sandwich that celebrates British produce in every bite.

October – Nigel Haworth from The Three Fishes
Finally, rounding out the series is industry legend Nigel Haworth. His toastie will remain a delicious mystery until October, but if his track record is anything to go by, it’ll be the ultimate finale.

Take a bite

Each limited-edition toastie is £15 and available for just one month so once it’s gone, it’s gone. And because food always tastes better when it does good, £1 from every toastie sold will be donated to The Burnt Chef Project, supporting mental health in hospitality.

Of course, The Wigmore Pub’s signature XXL toastie will also be holding its own throughout autumn – stuffed with Montgomery Cheddar, Ogleshield, Raclette, Dijon mustard, red onion, cornichons and chives. A true Oxford Street icon in its own right.
