3…2…1…It’s Christmas! Last night the West End’s very own Miranda Priestly, Vanessa Williams, counted down and hit the button to switch on the iconic ‘Sky Full of Stars’ Christmas lights…officially marking the start of Christmas on Oxford Street!

With Christmas being a time of giving, we are proud to have partnered with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) again this year to support seriously ill children. Children like seven-year-old Zarwa, who was first referred to Great Ormond Steet Hospital (GOSH) five years ago, and who joined us for the celebrations. Zarwa’s mum, Fahima, said: “Zarwa was born just days before Christmas and over the years has spent a lot of time in hospital for treatment during the festive period. That’s why it felt extra special for her to experience some Christmas magic at the Oxford Street light switch-on last night – it’s a memory we’ll treasure. We’ve seen first-hand how GOSH Charity helps bring joy and excitement to the wards for seriously ill children who have to spend Christmastime at GOSH – from surprise visits from Santa to waking up to presents by their bedsides – so being there to support the charity was a real privilege.”
Every donation to GOSH Charity helps GOSH go above and beyond for seriously ill children like Zarwa. A big thank you from everyone at Oxford Street and GOSH Charity – your support will help to give more children the hope of many more Christmases to come.
