For those unfamiliar with Mediterranean cuisine, the enchanting restaurant Sofra is a great place to start. This chic eaterie serves a vast selection of traditional sharing plates or mezze. Among Mediterranean treats on offer are grilled meatballs, prawn guvech casserole, fried haloumi and spicy lamb.
We’ve eaten breakfast at this little spot around half a dozen times over the last last couple of years and I can hand on heart say it’s been a pleasure on every occasion.
The English breakfast isn’t the greasy mix you get elsewhere - it’s a lean dish that places quality over quantity. That said, it’s still more than enough to fill you up, especially given the fantastic warm bread appetiser (with clotted cream and rose jam - don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!).
The service is always exemplary - staff are friendly, attentive, at the food is served in good time!
If you’re lucky enough to bump into the owner, he’s always incredibly convivial and has plenty of stories!
Very small place, yet mouthwatering kebabs in London!
Took a take away and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of sheesh!
Although high on price tag, worth a try for good Turkish delight!
Don’t come for the food, it’s terrible. The location is great for shoppers. Meat was really fatty and chewy, the rest of the food was flavourless. The calamari was like something you’d get from Asda.
Quite let down, should’ve figured it was a tourist trap but had good food at the Shepherd’s Market location a couple of years ago.
Fleeting visit to London. Happened upon this wonderful restaurant. Fabulous food and service from Elias wonderful. Thank you.
Excellent food. Very delicious. Will be coming again. Absolutely friendly and professional customer service
