Pizza Express on Barrett Street is one of the liveliest restaurants in St Christopher’s Place, and its versatile character makes it just as suited to a leisurely lunch post-shopping or an evening meal with your friends. The al fresco dining area is particularly buzzing during the summer.
Terrible service. We spend more time waiting for the check then actually eating. 3 waiters doing nothing, talking. They looked at us and ignored us. When I finally got ones attention he asked for a minute, set up some new costumers and went back to chat with the others. Too plain of a pizza too, not worth at all having to stand such a bad service
Pizza Express is a very popular Italian food franchise in the UK. They serve delicious classic crust and thin crust pizzas. They have some good main course options from different pastas and other main course options. They have a kids menu as well which makes life much easier when you are travelling with kids. The Thin crust pizzas we tried was nice and crispy. Vegan options are available as well. Decent selection of wine, beers and other alcohol. They have live jazz music playing on of the floors on certain nights . Not sure if it's at all their outlets but it made the atmosphere more lively. The interiors were a bit dark but that actually makes it look more like a cozy place. The waitress serving us was very helpful and got our food and drinks quickly. It was a bit busy for dinner service on the weekend. Go to any of the outlets and hopefully you'll not be disappointed with the food.
Doughballs and Coca Cola were excellent. Pizza was like eating spicy cardboard. The place is so noisy from some strange music downstairs out table was actually shaking. If you want nice pizza in a relaxing atmosphere avoid this place.
Great service and pleasant ambiance. Food choice wide and we'll catered for
We went to the jazz club and had food in the restaurant. It's very expensive providing it's the pizza, wine and ticket for £80 per person! You can't use the two course meal deal in the jazz club, but it's fine to use it in the restaurant which is two steps upstairs? I don't think I will go again it's a total rip off. Or eat somewhere else beforehand but never order food in the jazz club.
