Ping Pong are known for their Dim Sum (点心 translates as: 'to touch the heart'), beautiful flowering Chinese teas and cocktails with a twist.
Ordered the shared menu for two and we were very happy with the selection
The Pros are:
+ served quickly
+ friendly staff
+ reasonable prices
+ the menu for 2 included various dishes and I really enjoyed the mixture
Cons: no negative aspects tbh.
If you’re a student I can highly recommend signing up for UNiDAYS as you receive 20% off on the bill.
Overall recommendation: 👍🏼 Would go there again 😊
I went to ping Ping James street with my partner and we had such an amazing time.
The food was great and the service was friendly and quick.
Thank you guys I will definitely go back soon.
Went there for lunch. Food ok, but very long wait (we especially asked and were told it will be 10 min, but it was more than 20 min), plus very strange service - when I asked to make sure that I don't have spicy food, the waiter said that when my order will arrive, he will point me which dumplings are spicy. When I asked not to bring me any spicy dumplings and just to change them to non spicy ones, first he said it's not possible, but then after me insisting finally did it.
If you are looking for authentic Dim Sum and fantastic service you must try Ping Pong James Street.
From the starter to the dessert everything was SO TASTY!
Portions are perfect for sharing, especially if you are a group.
You can't miss the ginger limoncello caipirinha cocktail simply delicious and refreshing.
Andrea, the manager, looked after us for the whole meal and we couldn't ask for a better service. Professional and very accommodating.
Thanks for the great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Went in here at about 22:30, the closing time was 24:00. About 5 minuets after ordering they started frantically rushing around cleaning and packing up and with over an hour of opening time left!
This left is both feeling very uncomfortable and annoyed that we had just sat down to eat and they started chasing us out.
Food was mostly just overly sweet and the “hand made buns” seemed liked something pre bought from China town around the corner and heated up.
Rice was cold and almost in one solid lump.
Staff seemed helpful but obviously couldn’t wait to get out of the place.
You work around the customers not the other way around.
As a result of largely sweet or bland food ( the turmeric dumplings tasted of just water with crunchy carrot ) and being extremely rushed ( which makes me doubt their “freshness” claim ) I would not be back and would instead try somewhere authentic.
Oh and the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, just another sign of how they want you in and out as quick as possible.
