Cocochan is a renowned Pan Asian restaurant on the bustling James Street in the heart of St. Christopher’s Place. Their passion is to present the fusion of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes, standard and signature cocktails, with a a contemporary touch, in modern ambience.
The aubergine was incredible! Wonderful! Broccoli would have needed more seasoning, there was not almost at all the sauce belonging to the dish. Service was good, no complaints. Very bad and loud music at the background . Also prices are quite too expensive even if the food quality is very good.
Maybe the best Japanese food I've had in the UK (though I haven't tried that many places). A bit pricey for the portions but the food more than makes up for this with the quality. Food, drinks and dessert all superb and a nice atmosphere, with outdoor seating adjacent to James St.
Note on service: If sitting outside, don't sit next to the street as the staff may forget about you (both my and the couple next to us struggled to get their attention). However, I moved inside and immediately got very quick and friendly service (especially after a lovely waitress came on shift and was very friendly and helpful, forgot to get her name to compliment her here).
Never miss this place on our London trips. You can’t go wrong with all halal (except duck) Japanese fusion food. Consistently great taste and superb service by the staff.
We tried the tasting menu which was good. We sat downstairs which had live music which was enjoyable. Although maybe don't sit downstairs if there is live music and you want a quiet night.
Service was great and food was overall good.
I simply like their dishes. I always get fantastic service there. The place is clean and the workers are always very kind. Highly recommended.
