Under the direction of Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jason Atherton, Berners Tavern is a gastronomic gem ina truly breathtaking setting.Situated in The London Edition Hotel, offering a contemporary British menu that is simple yet elegant, using the very best product in the British Isles. But don't just trrust us, here just some of the rave reviews from London's influencers.
Enjoyed a dinner with friends over the long weekend. The decoration is modern and fancy, suitable for all kinds of celebration. Staff are very professional and welcoming. They would serve the dishes with a trolly and perform a final step to complete the dish, such as mixing the risotto or garnishing the tomato sauce etc.
However, given the price of food, the quality and taste is relatively average. The presentation is very artistic and elegant but the taste does not meet the expectation.
In other words, it's more of a place for ambience indulgence, but not for sophisticated palates.
Visited here on a work dinner with clients. Really really lovely building. The architecture is impressive as is the showmanship of the staff. The food was absolutely delicious, I particularly recommend the mushroom on toast, I will dream about it! Would definitely come again when I've built my wallet back up!
We visited on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and although the restaurant was fairly quiet there was a great atmosphere. The service was excellent from every member of staff we interacted with and we enjoyed discussing options with our server.
The food itself although delicious was very rich and the portions are huge. I desperately wanted to try a dessert but I couldn’t even finish my main course.
The prices are a little steep but we felt they were worth it and will be back.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Staff and service were fantastic. Had a bit higher expectation for the food quality considering the not shy price point, but... overall, great ambiance, great vibe, nice starters. I had the ribeye steak, it was cooked as specified, just a bad cut of meat. My partner had the lamb which was delicious.
Great for brunch. If you’re looking for a NYC-style eat - French toast, pancakes, eggs benedict, salads - there’s no better place in London. Food and service are great but atmosphere makes it. Big beautiful room with interesting art. Not cheap but a perfect spot for a treat or to make an occasion.
