This year, Easter falls on Sunday 5th April 2026, so you still have plenty of time to get yourself organised, whether that means shopping for Easter eggs (never too early in our book), decorating your house or booking some Easter activities on Oxford Street. Here are a few suggestions to get you going.

Easter decorations
If you’re hosting your family this Bank Holiday, you’ll have so much fun decorating the house. In our opinion, Easter decorations are the most exciting (apart from Christmas ones that is), since the pastel hues are perfect for giving your home a Spring makeover. You don’t need to go all out either, an Easter wreath on your front door, an Easter garland draped over the kitchen table, Easter bunting over the mantlepiece, or even some egg decorations hung on branches foraged from the garden or local park… all will bring a touch of joy to the house.
Easter eggs
Let’s not beat around the bush, the main event at Easter are the Easter eggs, of the chocolate variety that is. Selfridges food hall, M&S and John Lewis Oxford Street are just some of the stores you can purchase a chocolate Easter egg from, however you might find it tricky to choose. Crispy caramel eggs, thick dark chocolate eggs, milk chocolate and orange, and of course the breakout flavour of the past couple of years, pistachio, are just the tip of the iceberg (or should we say egg!). You might want to start taste testing now…
Easter activities
Make the most of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (and hopefully the good weather) to book yourself some great activities on Oxford Street. If you’re bringing the kids to London, crazy gold venue Swingers offers some great kids and family sessions, which will offer fun challenges for all ages. At Boom Battle Bar, you can indulge in your competitive side with axe throwing, shuffleboard, darts and more. Film fanatics, did you know there is a cinema in the heart of Selfridges? You will love the latest family-friendly blockbusters and Oscar-nominated movies on show there.

Food-wise, there are plenty of dining options here too. For something sweet, try the iconic Mad Hatters afternoon tea at The Sanderson, which is as pretty as it is tasty – perfect for the Instagrammers in the family. If you’re into fancy but unpretentious food, then head straight to Selfridges. On the rooftop, you’ll find Alto by San Carlo, serving homemade Italian fare with a side of spectacular views. Lower down in the building, you have Brasserie of Light, a visual art deco feast, which also happens to serve up unexpected twists on classic plates such as zucchini fritti, goat’s cheese mousse and sole goujons.

For more casual dining options to take a short break from your shopping and experiences, we recommend Market Halls, as it has something for everyone, from Mexican small plates to kebabs and Malaysian street food. Alternatively, you can’t go wrong with Wasabi, and its affordable and freshly prepared sushi and bento boxes.
Easter gifts
We know it’s rare, but not everyone loves chocolate. If you’d like to show your love this Easter, instead of gifting chocolate eggs, you can go for different Easter gifts instead. Jellycat comes up trumps yet again with this Easter teddy, complete with a daffodil outfit, and this Easter bunny rabbit, which comes in a variety of different colours. If it’s accessories you’re after, we love this adorable Easter egg charm from Pandora, and this beautiful daffodil ornament from Swarovski. For something truly nostalgic, try this Miffy lamp from Urban Outfitters.
Easter fashion
And finally, if you’re unsure what to wear on Easter Sunday, you’ll be able to pick up plenty of Easter partyware on Oxford Street. For women, why not lean into Spring-inspired fashion with a gorgeous floral dress (if it ain’t broke…), and for men, a lovely pastel-hued shirt, paired with neutral chinos? Both options are dressy yet comfortable, ideal for a sit-down Easter lunch.
