HOW TO SHOP SAFELY THIS CHRISTMAS
Our priority is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for customers and the local community and so you’ll see heightened hygiene measures across our district and in our stores and restaurants. For those planning a visit to Oxford Street, please see below some tips to help you shop safe this Christmas.
-
If you have any COVID symptoms, please stay at home and book a test
-
Travel at quieter times of the day. These are currently between 08:15 and 16:00 and after 17:30 on weekdays, and before noon and after 18:00 on weekends on public transport. Go to tfl.gov.uk/quiet-times to find out information about quiet times at stations and stops
-
Plan ahead to make the most of your visit, checking what stores you’d like to shop and their festive opening hours
-
Remember to bring a face covering and wear these at all times if travelling in by public transport and when inside shops.
-
We encourage you to wear a face covering where possible around the district to help keep others safe
-
Keep a safe distance from others. Follow any floor markings, one way systems and other signs to help you do this
-
Touch only what you need to
-
Wait your turn if you are asked to queue for entry, we know it’s cold outside and appreciate your patience
-
Follow the safety advice given to you in shops and respect the staff who might need to give you instructions
-
Use contactless payment on cards or your mobile devices where possible
-
Wipe down any baskets before and after use with sanitiser sprays provided
-
London is in Tier 2 which means you cannot socialise indoors with others who are not in your household or support bubble, and this includes in stores and restaurants
-
If you visit a restaurant or café whilst out shopping, remember the rules
-
If you see or hear something suspicious please report it to a member of our security team who patrol our high street throughout the day
Thank you for helping us keep each other safe
