Lumiere London: Origin of the World Bubble 2018 by Miguel Chevalier at Oxford Circus

Lumiere London is back for it’s second takeover of the capital, bringing light to a usually dark January with it’s 4 day art-extravaganza.

From 18 – 21 January London will be transformed with over 50 artworks popping up across streets, building’s and public spaces, transforming it into an immersive nocturnal exhibition of light and sound, what’s more the whole event is FREE!

We’re excited to share that Oxford Circus will become it’s own exhibition as French artist, Miguel Chevalier’s specially created ‘Origin of the World Bubble’ will be suspended above the crossing, which will be traffic-free so you can marvel at the sphere as it transforms from black and white to vivid, colour-saturated visual experiences reminiscent of op-art and 1970s psychedelia.

Lumiere is taking place daily from 5.30pm – 10.30pm so round up your best buds and plan your walking tour around the festival which is set to be the best one yet! And we want to see your snaps of Chevalier’s artwork so be sure to tag us @OxfordStreetw1.
