The team that brought you Notch LDN are back and with rooftop vibes in abundance as Sisu provides the ultimate urban hideaway perfect for relaxing OR partying with the backdrop of London’s skyline.
The latest concept on the rooftop of 535 Oxford Street is a Scandinavian-inspired retreat with a greenhouse street food restaurant and Negronis on tap!
You’re eyes don’t decieve you, the picture above is a coin-op cocktail tap which allows you to dispense your own Negronis and Old Fashioneds using a token. Best of all, these can be ordered in advance (or bought on arrival – either way, they’re £8 each).
This year, for the first time, you can even make reservations, as groups of six or more guests are invited to take tables in greenhouse dining space the RetrEat. As cosy as it sounds, RetrEat is a sheltered space with mixed log tables, heated concrete seats and ercol chairs with a smörgåsbord of leafy green plants.
Here you can tuck into an international street food menu featuring the likes of miso aubergine tacos, fried chicken waffles, crispy squid with shredded kimchi, Canadian-style poutine (that’s chips and cheese with gravy!), and cheeseburger sliders with or without blue cheese and pickled jalapeños.
If Negronis and Old Fashioned aren’t your thing then there’s Camden Town Brewery beers, Caple Rd cider, wine from a short list of nice/nicer/nicest options, plus a range of cocktails in regular or large jars.
Signature pours range from the light, summery Florodora (Bulldog gin, fresh raspberries, ginger) to the warming Howler (Wild Turkey 81 bourbon, apricot preserve, lemon). There will also be bubbles priced at just £6 per glass. Hooray!
