If you’re not already familiar with the work of Honest Burger, where have you been living? Providing a simple burger menu with Great British produce this burger joint is a cult-fave and its monthly specials will blow you away. Above is the ‘California’ French’s mustard fried beef, smoked bacon, double american cheese, caramelised onions, burger sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickles, unfortunately this won’t be around for National Burger Day but we can guarantee they’ll have something special lined up for you to enjoy. And of course you can not forget its AWESOME homemade rosemary chips.
A 3 way chicken diner, inspired by the flavours of the deep South bringing the tastiest buttermilk dipped, rotisserie and pulled chicken. Having tired both the Hickory spiced slow and low pulled chicken and the buttermilk dipped breast, we suggest keeping it classic but with a twist. The above burger is the Buttermilk Dipped Chicken and Halloumi Bun with crisp lettuce and ma’s slaw, a perfect combo of melt in the mouth chicken and salty cheese . They also do frozen margaritas – what’s not to love!
This place is a meat lovers paradise, it’s burger patties are a secret blend of 35-day aged, grass fed Aberdeen Angus beef, freshly ground every day. The ‘gourmet’ menu causes instant salivation and we’re big fans of the ‘Jose Jose’ Chilli Burger. Beef Patty, Cheese, Tomato, Lettuce, Chilli Sobrassada relish, Pickled onions, Ketchup, Smokey P&B mayo, Brioche. A side of it triple cooked fries is a must, and if you’re feeling like going all out then add a side of its Smoked confit wings with BBQ sauce & spring onions.
Probably not a place you’d expect to see in a ‘best burger round up’ but Mews of Mayfair’s signature Truffle burger its epic. Not only because it makes for a great Instagram shot but it packs some big flavours from top bun to bottom. Housed in a charcoal bun is truffle infused beef, topped with truffle brie and the classic lettuce, tomato and onions garnish.
The king of all your ‘dirty’ burgers dreams, Meat Liquor provides a dark cave-like experience to tuck into its menu of all the best american diner food. From the famous ‘Dead Hippie’ to it’s ‘Tower Block’ chicken burger each burger its just a tasty as the next so it can be hard to choose, but either of those makes for a great start. Alongside the burger there’s some incredible sides like the homemade onion rings and its fries come standard or loaded. If you go loaded the green chilli cheese fries are top choice as the fries are covered in green chili sauce, melted cheddar cheese & pickled jalapeños.
