We’ve all been waiting patiently for August Bank Holiday, and it’s finally right around the corner! If you’re looking for some inspiration on how to spend your long weekend, look no further – we’ve put together the perfect Bank Holiday guide for you.

Who doesn’t love a spot of retail therapy on a bank holiday? Or maybe indulging in some delicious food? What about going for some fancy cocktails? Well, you can do it all on Oxford Street!

If you’re out of bed early enough, you should grab some breakfast from one of the many wonderful spots in St Christopher’s Place. Feya is one of our favourites and isn’t to be missed, with the food tasting as good as it looks! From Happiness Pancakes to Rose Avo-Toast, whatever you choose will be Instagram worthy.

Now you’ve got your energy for the day, you can make your way down Oxford Street! Checking out all your favourite shops along the way from Primark to Topshop, Next and everywhere in between! Don’t forget to check out many of the side streets as well where you can find architectural delights as well as boutique shops and cafes if you’re in need of some refreshments.

We hope the sun will be shining, so why not check out many of the amazing outdoor spots to enjoy on Oxford Street. John Lewis’ rooftop garden is open all summer long, pop up to escape the busy street and check out the views!

Now its time to hit the streets again, you can’t miss out on a trip to Selfridges when visiting Oxford Street. There’s always something going on from skin and makeup tutorials to food tastings. But be careful as it’s easy to lose track of time in Selfridges so watch the clock if you want to check out some of the fantastic restaurants in the area for dinner.

If it’s Italian you fancy, you must check out Harry’s Bar. Offering traditional and unfussy Italian dishes as well as a signature brunch on the weekend. They also have a fantastic selection of cocktails to choose from, it is the bank holiday after all! If you want a change of scenery for some dessert and drinks, head over to Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square. Spend the rest of your evening relaxing on their plush furniture enjoying either their vast selection of teas, coffees and sweet treats or continuing with the cocktails – with a bar inspired by the spirit of Tokyo’s 1930s Kissa Clubs and Shanghai’s drinking dens.
