The Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, London was opened in 1955 by the Polo playing Phipps family. Since then the hotel has expanded tremendously. The Westbury now offers 246 bedrooms, of which 20 are suites where guests can be pampered with special amenities and exceptional service.
Additionally, guests can experience an incredible variety of cuisines with the choice of our Michelin-starred, 4 AA rosette fine-dining restaurant ‘Alyn Williams at the Westbury’ and our discreet, local favorite, Tsukiji Sushi offering the perfect fusion of Japanese cuisine and Mayfair spirit.
The Westbury Hotel also boasts the charismatic, charming and opulent Polo Bar, which offers some of the finest drinks and cocktails in Mayfair, London. In fact, the Polo Bar was recently voted “Best Hotel Bar of the Year” 2016 and ‘Best London Bar’ in 2014.

Great staff, very helpful! I forgot my bow tie and the concierge had one available and even helped me to put it on! Perfect! I would have given 5 stars if the luxury room wouldn't have a tiny bathroom where I cannot even open the door while being inside because it is so small.
The POLO Bar is splendid.
All Staff at Hotel were wonderful.
Good mini bar.
What's not to love about this hotel. Beautiful interiors and courteous service in the thick of one of London's best shopping areas. Walking distance to many good restaurants and bars, as well as the restaurants in-house of course - we enjoyed the sushi restaurant the most. The concierge was able to get me in to a salon for a haircut with very little notice on a Saturday so if you need someone to pull some strings for you pop downstairs and see the Westbury concierge desk ;)
£38,000 for a big bottle of pink champagne. Yeah right. Couldn't see what the fuss is about this hotel.
A recent addition to the Luxury Collection brand. Reasonably good hotel bar, and there is also a choice of Japanese or British cuisine for dining. Air conditioning in the rooms were a bit peculiar though - one needs to turn it off and open the windows in order to avoid being baked alive on a warm sunny day.
I get the sense that this property still has to go through a transition phase to reach the usual standards of the Luxury Collection brand. Hopefully they get there soon, it would be a shame to waste such a brilliant location.
