The Ninth is the latest restaurant by London-based chef Jun Tanaka. Located on Charlotte street in the heart of London’s buzzy Fitzrovia neighbourhood, the contemporary, yet warm and inviting 90-seater restaurant offers up simple but refined French Mediterranean-style dishes, all made for sharing. The a la carte menu – available at lunch and dinner – focuses on the finest seasonal produce and vibrant, honest flavours. Specialties include house-cured meats and fish, robust French classics with Jun’s signature fresh twist, and lovingly thought-out vegetable dishes that are more than just ‘sides’.Lunchi is served from 12pm - 2.30pm and dinner from 5.30pm - 10,30pm Monday to Saturday. The Ninth is closed on Sundays and Bank Hoildays.
Good quality food, Really tasty. Very creative sharing idea has being implemented. Its good for the same type people. But not for vegans. But its amazing for me. 😄
I remember eating at Pearl when Jun Tanaka was the head chef. The restaurant delivers seriously good food at very reasonable prices and I think it is a gem yet to be discovered. Staff are so friendly and efficient.
Awesome place with great food. Lovely atmosphere and very hospitable people. Love being here.
The place is very casual with basic decor and ambiance. Service style is a Tapas style of small dishes to share. Food was good but short of fabulous or wow as some comments suggest. I didn’t find any dish memorable (probably with the exception of the beetroot tart). The food was for some reason heavy on vinegar. Almost every dish was like this. This was one of my few disappointments with Michelin.
Great food, good atmosphere. Service average but attentive. Overall a nice cozy restaurant with excellent food. Will go back again!
