With its daily changing menu of smaller plates, The Fir Room offers a welcoming, cosy and intimate environment for you to sit and relax, whilst enjoying an exquisite selection of seasonal British produce.
This restaurant is tucked away a bit off Oxford Street, but is a great find. If you want excellent food and good service at reasonable prices (set menu especially), this is the place to go. Also has nice decor, so great place for a date. I wouldn't say it is perfect but 5 stars nonetheless as the staff make an effort and food reliably good, which is more than can be said for many restaurants in London. Highly recommend.
Very personalised service from the staff. We came here for a friend's birthday and they were brilliant. Suggested the right wines, served us a surprise birthday treat for the birthday girl. Very chill and good quality night. Music was at the right level, not too loud but not too soft. Absolutely perfect dinner.
Go for the bisque and the oysters. Perfect.
Great high-end French cuisine in a food desert (Oxford street) environment. The set menu is an absolute steal (I think this offer ends before dinner but in our case they'd forgotten to remove the sign and graciously honoured the deal). The service is spotless. The interior is newly restored and gave me serious Mad Men vibes. The kitchen does seafood especially well.
This is one of the best restaurants in London. Whether its the very friendly staff and the exquisite food (I had a seafood casserole followed by a blood orange sorbet) or the fine cocktails ( that comes with a knowledgeable barman, I recommend the El Piquet, it warms a cold winter evening) and the elegant decor this small little place ticks all the boxes. The head chef even came out to chat.
Lovely room, warm and delightful service and a really fantastic menu, very well priced. Terrific wine list too. The pig's head croquettes with sauce gribiche was unctuous and crispy, and the wine list we terrific and great value. Pietro is divine.
