About us

Small but mighty, this is the cafe where it all began when The Breakfast Club first opened up on D’Arblay Street in 2005. Now rated and well known for its awesome all day brunch and lunch menu, expect to find queues out the door! The cafe continues to grow and all the good times can be found pinned to the walls on polaroid pictures from raucous staff night’s out, notes scrawled on napkins and postcards from around the world.Reservations possible from 6pm Monday to Saturday.

The portion of their breakfast items are massive but I am not going to complain as its very comforting and filling. Love the quirks and style of the whole restaurant. They even have a table that has drawer with loads of letters and memorabilia from the previous diners. I love this place but its too small and can get crowded quickly.

I went there for breakfast right as they were opening the doors and ordered the chorizo hash. The poached egg yolk was not runny at all, I was devastated. The waiter asked if everything was good and I told him about the egg, and he brought me a new egg without any fuss! I didn't even ask for a new egg, but he just made it right! Awesome. It was really tasty too, especially after I got my new egg.

This place is way overrated... Reading about it online and especially seeing the long line in the street (in the cold) gave me high expectations... Since the place is small and was full it was awfully crowded. The service wasn't very good... And the food was just OK. Unreasonable prices... I do not recommend. About the dish I ordered (salted caramel pancake): if I was told it won't be actual chocolate but chocolate flavored syrup*** it would have made a difference since I would have asked them not to put it.... The cream was disgusting and tasted as if it was cheap...
About the bill : you don't have a choice whether to leave a tip. It's obligatory that you pay 12.5%...
My advice : save your time and money and go someplace else.

Long wait time (over an hour) but good food and very reasonably priced. Good if you're not in a hurry. We got a coffee across the street to have during the wait.

Food is quite varied and hearty, but there is a depth of flavour that is missing.

Wait time wasn't too long and service is good. Coffee, juices and smoothies are well done.
