Went here for team lunch. A colleague had commented that service was super slow the last time. We thought it was a one off event. Turns out we were wrong.

Starters and mains took a total of 2 hours to arrive. And this was with a one third full restaurant.

The manager at least offered to take the service charge off the bill, but for a casual quick dining restaurant the service level was unforgiveable.

Food itself is not bad, the pizzas are good and I can also recommend the burrata starter.

Nice atmosphere and the pizza are sumptuous. Have not tried other dishes but they did look very appetising when looking at people's orders being taken to them. Wood burning oven so it makes the pizza very authentic. I recommend it very much!

Always love a reason to go to John Lewis, and this restaurant is a great reason! Excellent gluten free options, I recommend the gnocchi! Pizza crust is soft and morish, so why not bring a friend and share a pizza and pasta dish! I like to have a wander round the store to work off a bit of the food and see what I can find in the flagship John Lewis store!

Food was not bad. Quite authentic and not too bad of a service. Good service when it’s not busy but on the day we visited, we struggled to get our bill as it got busy by the time we finished eating. We waited for at least 6 minutes till we got the bill. Turned out our bill was given to the wrong table.

Anyway, food was okay. My wife liked her tomato sauce spaghetti, but I felt my order had too much olive oil underneath the plate.

The salad we ordered was quite bland also, and my wife refused to eat it as it didn’t look fresh.

Overall, okay. On a hungry afternoon alone on budget, I’d definitely eat here at the portions are good sized, however it’s not a romantic place or a place for high standard service.

People that rated this below 4/5 don't know what Italian cuisine is. Food is exceptional. I would rate this at top standards. Stuff is very friendly. I was served very fast everytime and food always had the same taste. Prices are not bad at all compared to your location. Top notch.
