What sets Rossopomodoro apart is that it's truly Neapolitan. With chefs from Neapolitan pizzaioli families making Neapolitan dishes using ingredients sourced only from the Napoli region, you won’t find a more genuine Neapolitan experience outside Napoli!
Food was lovely but service was a big let down. When the staff were serving us they were friendly and helpful but getting our order taken initially took a lot of time, then they forgot my water twice, despite my partner getting her drink quite quickly. I then asked for the bill and waited for 10 minutes before just getting up and walking to the waiter at the pay area. We were there for over an hour just to get a main, eat it and wait for the bill, and most of our time was spent waiting for service. If the place was busy I would understand but it was 15:30 on a Friday afternoon, not too busy.
I came in Rossopomodoro with some friends and we ordered pizzas and starters. They were absolutely delicious, freshly made, like if you were suddenly in Italy . As well as the food, the service was really caring and quick. I would for sure recommend it and come back.
Thanks to Emmanuel for taking care of us.
This is a little gem of a place if you are in or close to the Oxford St John Lewis. Ovan baked pizza, pasta and all you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Very enjoyable food and the service was good. X2 courses for 2 people with a drink each for £56.
Service was exceptional, and I swear my pizza arrived within 4minutes of ordering. Keep in mind this was Dec 23rd when John Lewis was rammed with shoppers.
They have 2 vegan pizza options which use vegan cheese. Absolutely to die for!
Called here for lunch with my daughter as part of a weekend treat in London. Ordered Gnocchi meal and a pasta dish. After waiting more than acceptable time for the food to come, other customers who came in after us were served their food before us, we spoke to a waiter about our wait.
As if by magic our food appeared - it must have been put somewhere and forgotten about. After one mouth full I could tell that it was luke warm. I informed another waiter who just shrugged his shoulders. I left most of it. There was no apology or any recompense offered.
When the bill came it had a service charge on which I refused to pay. The reason being was that the service was bad.
I honestly expected better than this in a John Lewis store. I will be contacting them directly over this.
