Peru comes to London with LIMA, a new restaurant concept presenting Peruvian cuisine in a contemporary style. The exciting flavours created by Head Chef, Robert Ortiz and Virgilio Martinez (Executive Chef and ranked #4 in the World 50 Best List and #1 in in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list) have won us many happy customers. And while our diners are most important, we have had many favourable reviews from critics and numerous industry awards.Lima Fitzrovia was first awarded a Michelin star in 2013 – the first and only Peruvian restaurant to achieve this.Lunch is served from 12pm - 2.30pm Tuesday to Sunday, dinner is served from 5.30pm - 10.45pm Monday to Saturday and from 5.30pm - 9pm on Sunday.
We really liked the restaurant and enjoyed our evening. Very kind stuff. The food was great. Great for sharing food to try as much as possible. They have high-chairs for kids. Recommended to book a table. We'll come definitely again
What a great place. Lovely and attentive staff. The food is second to none with varied flavours and ingredients. Very creative. I love the Pisco Sours there.
I found Lima to be over priced for what it is trying to be. If you are going to do small plates of food at an average cost of £10 & £20, they had better be amazing. However, most of the dishes we ordered were just fine. There was nothing in particular to say about the cassava chips, corn cake, octopus Olivo. The suckling pig was a bit dry and not the stand out we were expecting.
The presentation and plating are outstanding and pretty but falls short in terms of taste and flavour. I would not come here again with so many restaurants serving up fantastic flavours that make your sense come alive.
Service is perfect. Peruvian flavors and fusion takes on them are truly to die for. However, portions are small and very pricey which is highly off-putting. Do not come here if you are hungry.
For summer 2018 the menu has changed to a small plates tapas style concept. Meaning you can try more amazing stuff! Pretty unique flavour and style in London. A real treat. Have anything.
