Kua ‘Aina Burger & Sandwich Grill first opened on Hawaii’s famous North Shore in 1975. Forty years on, the legendary lava-grilled burgers, succulent sandwiches and salads continue to wow locals, surfers and visitors alike. Kua ‘Aina in London is proudly brought to you by independent operators, Ed & Paul, who have added brunch, fluffy pancakes, cocktails, real milkshakes, craft beers and desserts to the all-day dining mix. They are passionate about the unmistakable taste and warm welcoming spirit of Kua ‘Aina: “Aloha and welcome all!”
Their spicy sweet potato fries are immensely impressive! Excellent selection of burgers to suit all tastes from vegan to fish and meat eaters. Good choice of beers (bottled or draft - also served in pitchers, which is brilliant for group sharing). Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Quirky décor. Lively atmosphere but quiet enough for a good conversation with friends. Reasonably priced.
Toilets were downstairs, so would not be suitable for those with accessibility needs.
Loved the food. Very fresh and well cooked. Good value cocktails. Great decor and atmosphere. Fun relaxed place
Tuna burger was really good and so was the milkshake. Good atmosphere. Just make sure not to sit by the front door on a windy day as the door is difficult to close and usually other customers just end up leaving it open which was not a great experience.
We had a great meal. We have been here several times before and came again because of good experiences. Many thanks to our server Sarah for fitting us in even though it was busy!
We went to have some pancakes for pancake day, the pancakes were really dry and tasted of flour. Very disappointing. Other than that, the service was good and fast.
