Tom and Phil met in 2010 whilst working at a Brighton restaurant. Soon after, they bought a small marquee and decided to go it alone serving burgers at festivals and events. After meeting Dorian, Tom moved to Brixton in 2011 and within a few months they’d signed a lease on a tiny unit in Brixton Village. After lots of DIY, furniture making and decorating, the first Honest Burgers opened its doors. With a simple, quality-focused menu the company has not deviated from its original approach — to do one thing, and do it well.
Just left the restaurant. The service was excellent!!! The two waiters that helped me were the nicest I met here in London. The food was absolutely great. And also they emphasize working with fresh local produce which is important. DO NOT MISS!
Probably the worst major burger chain in London. I've been three times to this place (two in this specific chain). The first time, the patty was not cooked properly and tasted like low quality meat. The second, I had the veggie burger which was dry and not well balanced. The third, just chips and salad. The chips were too salty and made me feel sick all afternoon. The salad was bland. Not going back again.
Though the service and food was good, the portion size wasn't!
After spending £40 on a meal for two- I walked out feeling I could have eaten more.
I would rather pay GBK a visit in the future as you spend the same amount of cash and walk out feeling satisfied.
Cosy place with nice food at a reasonable price.
I went there on Monday evening so I guess it was not as crowded as usual.
They were very quick and very friendly staff.
The hamburger was also good with a good number of fries.
In my opinion, the burger is quite small so at the end you are still hungry.
Finally, the lemonade was home made and very nice.
A great place to have a gourmet burger. The vibe is very pleasant and comfortable. The menu is simple and easy to choose from - I was lucky enough to have 'The Cheese Truck' which is a limited edition burger. This special is a brand-new collaboration with street-food and festival heroes!
