Tom and Phil met in 2010 whilst working at a Brighton restaurant. Soon after, they bought a small marquee and decided to go it alone serving burgers at festivals and events. After meeting Dorian, Tom moved to Brixton in 2011 and within a few months they’d signed a lease on a tiny unit in Brixton Village. After lots of DIY, furniture making and decorating, the first Honest Burgers opened its doors. With a simple, quality-focused menu the company has not deviated from its original approach — to do one thing, and do it well.
Just visited Honest Burger Oxford Circus and could not recommend highly enough. From the warm, friendly welcome to the happy and helpful service we have just had the nicest experience dining here. The food was delicious. In our opinion, Honest is one of the best burgers in London! Visit Oxford Circus branch for the great food and the wonderful team who make the experience quite unforgettable. All of this for under £30! Amazing!! We will be back :)
Called in on the off chance of getting a table and a bite to eat but asked if they could be super quick as we were in a rush. And they were! The service was great. The food was well cooked. Can't fault it.
I've been to a few honest burgers and many are excellent. Sadly, here they lacked the quality. While service was excellent the chips were frozen and far far too salty and the burgers were cold when we got them and overcooked and dry. But the staff were really nice and we didn't pay for the food. So, maybe it's a place to go and see if we were just unlucky. Most other honest burgers have given a better experince though.
Super good service. I was attended right away since the moment I stepped in the restaurant and I was very well explained of how the menu works. Very nice environment and a great place to eat those burgers everyone craves for.
A wonderful place to get a classic, unashamedly greasy burger for a fairly moderate price. Honest burger is certainly honest, offering a streamlined approach to eating. In practice, this translates into a small menu, with one chicken option, four beef options and two vegetarian options. The oppertunity to double stack is hard to resist. My main problem however is the grease; at least try to hide it!
