In 2001, Gourmet Burger Kitchen launched onto our radar when three Kiwi guys found themselves starting a burger craze in England… Battersea, London to be specific. Since then, GBK have grown and keep getting bigger. Now with over 90 restaurants across the UK, they are famous for serving up an exciting variety of handcrafted burgers; combining 100% prime beef with the freshest ingredients and burger sauces made in restaurant every day!
Average 'upmarket' burger place with decent food. Very efficient service and good staff. Reasonably priced for these types of places. Milkshakes are really delicious. Never seems to be busy whenever I've been despite its location which makes it faster than other places in the area. Would go again if I was around there but wouldn't travel specifically to go.
Burgers were ok at best considering the prices charged. I think the likes of Five Guys and Byron are way better at this price point.
I was kind of shocked by one of the service staff. We had one wrong item brought to our table and when I tried to bring this to the staff's attention, I was met with a surly "I've only got one pair of hands" before I had a chance to tell her what as going on.
Left a bad taste in my mouth even before I had a chance to eat anything.
Nice interiors, bit like walking into a log cabin with all the wood cladding. The burgers are interesting, and with a decent range of veggie options despite being predominantly a carnivores' paradise. It does feel a bit 'chain-ey', but I suppose that happens when places open more and more venues. They do what they call "skinny fries" but be warned, these are more like fried grated potatoes. Music was quite loud when we went.
Bad service, not really good food for the price. For a place that said gourmet on its name it is disapointing.
Went for a burger whilst waiting on a friend, couple of minutes to get seated, realised about having to go up to the counter, shame I didn’t get told on being seated though.
Woman behind the counter had obviously just had some kind of major life event and was depressed, surly and just naff to be honest.
Food came out, was all good, just need to train the front of house staff better, the lady who came in just I was leaving explained the process to the table next to me, so it’s possible. Though what to do with the lady taking the orders I don’t know, not sure what it’ll take to get her to engage with the customers and smile.
