Excellent selection of stakes. The waitress came over to show us the options of raw meet on a tray.
While we were waiting they served us some tiny bread and butter with some oil with herbs, that was nice.
We decided to have the fillet and it was tasty and perfectly cooked and I enjoyed a glass of Shiraz with my meal.
After the meal we were considering having a dessert or another drink but the deco is very dark and creates a moody atmosphere so decided to go somewhere brighter.
Overall we had a nice meal, the service was good and will be back again for another tasty stake in the future.
Service was excellent and very informative. Food was really tasty but I do have 1 slight request for the Chef. (the reason for 4 and not 5 stars).
I ordered steak medium/rare and would prefer the steak to have been "rested" a little longer as a little blood still on the plate. But overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
A last minute decision we didn't regret! Saturday night, we found ourselves at this lush restaurant which has incredible food to offer. An Argentinean fine dining steakhouse, Gaucho really hit the mark - the best steak I've had in London so far, the variety and quality of the meat is impeccable. We had champagne as an apertif, followed by langoustines and fillet + rump cuts - accompanied by mash with truffle butter and an incredible medium bodied red wine. Service was a bit slow but that's expected on a Saturday night, waiter was a tad rude but all in all the food was excellent and was served hot so it was worth it overall. Highly recommended, for celebrations and date night!
If you like steak this is a must. It is an Argentinean restaurant and all beef is from there. The cuts of beef are shown and the recommended cooking is explained to you. Roomy and spacious. Allocated waiter/ress service so attentive service at all times. Expensive but definitely worth it.
I love every gaucho I go to. The food is always really fresh they bring it out, talk you through cuts and seasonings and beat way to have it. The sides are all really good too. I have not had a single thing I have not enjoyed when eating at any of the Gaucho restaurants.
