Gaucho is absolutely how restaurants should be; fantastic food, beautiful decor, and a high-end atmosphere that really helps to unwind.
The waitress came to our table and showed us each of the cuts of meat on a wooden tray which we could pick from. She talked us through each of the cuts, her recommendations, and what would go best with each cut.
I asked if they could do anything bigger and there was no qualms - I had a much bigger steak immediately!
The chimichurri sauce is to die for. Absolutely our favourite restaurant in London.
Excellent food, amazing service in a beautiful restaurant... What more can you ask for? We will be back soon x
Amazing experience with every little touch the restaurant and waiter put together for us, brilliant food with the service to match that set the bar for every other restaurant to live up to expectations by. Brilliant experience will 100% be going again & will recommend to anyone. The waiter even gave a little wine tasting session because of not being able to decide what I felt like, also gave us a full understanding of where & how the food/drinks come from and will be made.
The interior decor is a bit lairy and weird (think mid-nineties Eastern European nightclub) but the steak was very nice. Pretty pricey but this was expected. We went at lunchtime and it was empty. The waiter was very good though.
Pros: The service is good, decoration is unique, sparkling water is very good, like the way they teach their customers the knowledge of the beef. And the ribeye is brilliant!
Cons: marinated fillet not as good as expected, they even charge 3 pounds for a tiny little dip of sauce, and no chips or veg are included with the steaks, they are 5 pounds each as extra, and the vegetables taste terrible! The wine feels and tastes on the cheap side.
