Garfunkel’s is a British restaurant that’s resided in some of the most famous streets in London since 1979. Ideally located and surrounded by many restaurants.
My wife and I both fancied a burger and saw this as we passed.
Being seated was very quick with the atmosphere amd decor being good.
The staff were very good, helpful and friendly.
After ordering or burgers we had them within 10/15 minutes and they were great. Lots of flavour and no grease.
They do a number of cocktails and have plenty of spirits. For draft beer/larger/ale they do not have much choice but bottles are available.
Personally I tried the London Pride from draft and it was nice.
Overall for the two of us with 2 burger meals (different ones), 2 x cocktails and 2 x London Pride the bill under £60 which I was very happy with as I was expecting a lot more.
If you are around the area I would recommend
It's a little bit of a tourist trap, food was nice if uninspired and drinks were standard fair and fairly pricey. If you're not feeling anything adventurous or have a lot of different tastes to satisfy you will find this restaurant easy. Decor was nice.
Lost an extra star as the only toilet was down steep stairs, would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues and this is not marked or advertised at all. Not their fault but a it'll an issue
Initial impressions very good. Clean glasses and clean restaurant. Service very polite and professional.
Of the four meals three were enjoyed. Both omelette were very good as was the chicken. However the pizza was not good. Looked good but taste was not brilliant. If you enjoy a deep pan Pizza Hut pizza you won't like it. If thin and crispy is your choice you may enjoy it.
Wine, an Australian Shiraz was VERY nice. Shame the bottle wasn't bigger.
Price high - food only average and portion - Cole slaw and fries small.... Also - though restaurant almost empty - took a bit long to get food.
Might as well go to fast food for a third of the price. Ate lunch at Totenham Court location. Will not come back
Great breakfast offers in great location. Really prices are hard to beat. Servers were nice and friendly and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean.
