Visited around 4pm on a Wednesday, it was not particularly busy and the restaurant seemed well staffed. There wasn't any server looking after me and my companion. After having to raise my hand to get the attention of one of the waiting staff (whom were all having what seemed to be an informal group discussion) they came over and stood in silence. I asked which wine they would recommend for my order, they pointed at the most expensive bottle. When asking why this selection was appropriate I was met with the baffling response "It's red". I didn't enjoy being taken for a fool at an establishment which allegedly champions authentic sourcing of fine ingredients. The pizza was mediocre in quality, burnt base and doughy surface. The toppings were so unevenly distributed that there were moments of eating slices of dough. In fairness the style is rustic and the price is affordable so I was prepared for a few bumps. Overall a letdown as it was my first visit thanks to a recommendation from a friend.

Cheerful pizzeria offering excellent pizzas at reasonable prices. Great for those looking for a quick bite, on a budget or just catching up casually with friends. Not a place for formal occasions. Menu is simple. Be sure to check what the day's special is on the board as it changes daily.

The best Neapolitan pizza I've tried so far (haven't tried them all) at a very very decent price. They use very good quality ingredients. The only issue to my opinion is that you always wait for the bill for ages as it seems hard to catch the staff attention at times.

Very poor experience. My party of two was seated downstairs, right beneath a blaring speaker. The room was already noisy, but the music volume made it deafening. Once seated, we waited for nearly twenty minutes without being addressed by a single member of staff. No water brought to the table, no asking if we wanted to order, nothing. Eventually, I told a passing waiter that we were ready to order if someone could see to us, and they looked at me, still walking, and put out a single finger without saying a word. A nonverbal “wait”. They then proceeded to assist another nearby table for a moment and then began cleaning the drinks bar. At no point did they return to our table. Shortly thereafter, we left and went to the Franco Manca Covent Garden location a few minutes walk away and had a very pleasant meal. I will not being returning here.

The pizza here is of the same standard as you would expect from this chain, but the real draw is the price. Great value for money. Shame about the basement location.
