About us

Five Guys started out in Arlington, Virginia back in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to their young sons: “Start a business or go to college”. The business route won and the Murrell family opened their first burger joint named, simply, Five Guys – after the five brothers. The formula was as uncomplicated as it comes. Burgers and fries – cooked to perfection – and that's it. But what a formula it turned out to be! With handmade fresh roll stamped beef burgers grilled along with fresh-cut fries cooked in pure peanut oil.

It's one of my favorite burger chains in the world. Even with a busy store and many orders, the food was fresh and hot. The soda machines don't have all classic beverages, but some other options too. Cool to have peanuts as a complementary snack. Clean toilets and comfortable tables.

Jeez this burger is juicy, huge and delicious. You get to add as many toppings as you'd like. It is very expensive (~£8) though, but if you still want to try it, you could even share it with someone.

Small fries were big enough as well. The cup is small but they pour so many extra fries inside the bag that you end up getting a large portion.

I'd say if you're not a big eater you could share the 1 cheeseburger and 1 small fries between two people.

Great burgers. Fries are also delicious! Free peanuts so I cannot complain. The burgers are always great every time I go here. Very happy whenever I eat here

Have to put 3 stars because the price is just too much. The burgers are very good and I like the freedom of customising the toppings but you cannot choose how well you want the burger cooked and the epicenter of the fries is nearly £5 making a complete menu burger, fries and drink £17. Definitely too much

The food was good. Proper chips instead of fries (get the small size unless you're truly ravenous). Burger was tasty and they let you customise it heavily. Why 3 stars? First, I reckon you get better food at comparable price from other burger restaurants. The fast food arrangement (instead of table service) is not a bad vibe, but my order - made during a busy lunchtime - had bits missing at first and I had to go back and get them.
