About us

Five Guys started out in Arlington, Virginia back in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to their young sons: “Start a business or go to college”. The business route won and the Murrell family opened their first burger joint named, simply, Five Guys – after the five brothers. The formula was as uncomplicated as it comes. Burgers and fries – cooked to perfection – and that's it. But what a formula it turned out to be! With handmade fresh roll stamped beef burgers grilled along with fresh-cut fries cooked in pure peanut oil.

Having heard about this all American burger place in social media my significant other and I decided we had to try it. The restaurant is spacious and buzzing with energy. The food was served quickly after ordering and tasted amazing. Definitely lived up to the hype. Some of the best burgers Ive had to date.

Even though it is considered fast food, the burger is just magnificent, especially the beef patty, the flavour and fat is just right. Along with a melted slice of cheese in between the patties, just a great burger. The hand cut fries are not to be overlooked, which you can taste the starchiness of potato and great seasoning. Last but not least, the milk shake is a must try, the richness of it in any flavour and keep full and satisfied at the end of the meal!

They are fast food style burgers but done well and with fresh salad and good standard of burgers. They are really nice. However it is pretty expensive

Look, it's a good burger and the fries with spicy seasoning are great, as is the same caramel shake. But is it £16 worth? Um, no. That's outrageous considering the ingredients involved in making this meal. Not value for money.
