Perfect place - ideally located in a back street where you can enjoy eating on the terrace -. Ed's makes it fun to chew on tasty American specialties and spend a memorable moment back in time, enjoying 50s music in a clean colorful surrounding. I tasted a mouthwatering Mac N Cheese Mountain: beef, Mac & cheese, more cheese, lettuce, tomato, gherkins, mustard and mayo. There were delicious and crispy waffle fries on the side. You were already devouring the plate with your eyes. There was a soda fountain where you can mix drinks and syrups to your taste. I tried the vanilla diet Pepsi and thought it was sweet and palatable. As I hadn't eaten something really decent during the day, I swallowed my plate eagerly but somehow left half of the beef, as it was too much meat for me. We came in 7 minutes prior closing time, so a special credit for the staff members who were extra nice and made our experience at Ed's very enjoyable.

The milkshakes are nice. They are served in a large blending cup. We ordered a large and standard milkshake and there was no difference in the size so not sure it was worth paying extra for the large size. They have a wide range of different flavours.

The beef burgers are standard for the price. I did not try the chicken burgers. They are not bad but not exceptional either. There is a nice range of different burgers and sides. The portions are large and filled me up. The portions do not seem to be measured and were much bigger on one plate than the other.

I was a bit disappointed by the restaurants recent decision to no longer offer table service. The level of service seems to have deteriorated in recent times and the lack of table service adds to this deterioration.

Service was really good, especially from a boy who worked there. He was really polite, he asked us if we had napkins and we were grateful for it as he said it's no problem and it's his job, with such a polite attitude. He was on shift at 14:31 on 15/09/18 I'm not sure what his name is, which is a shame as I can't give him praise.

Mr partner said the all day breakfast was great and my Halloumi burger was generous and tasty. The food was delivered promptly and everyone was very helpful. Overall a nice spot for lunch away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. The only downsides were the small size of the unit and it was a little expensive. Still recommended though.

Amazing service. They got my order wrong, and fixed it without any issues and we're very respectful and great value. Amazing food.
