On edge of London’s Soho district, the pub retains a real ‘local’ feel. An unusual feature is a trap door in the corner of the pub that’s also a trap-wall - the floor and wall both open up onto Great Marlborough Street.Food served from 11am - 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm - 10pm on Sunday.
A cozy pub with a very decent assortment of beers. And good food! I had some fish 'n chips. The chips were crispy and fried to perfection (as a Belgian, I'm giving myself te right to say that). I did however get a mouldy lemonwedge, but in their defence, I didn't notice either until I squeezed it. The were so kind to give me a new and fresh one. Just unlucky coincidence, no harm done.). My partner got the beef burger. The meat tasted good but the bun was cold and there was something grainy in there. He compares it to "sand, but obviously not sand".
Nothing bad to say about this pub, staff were nice and were happy to meet my strange drink order, the inside is nice, loved the glasses! Outside had a great seating area, although could do with a new canopy as we got very wet when it rained! Will be back.
Nice management and staff in this west end/soho pub. Good selection of beers and food, nice atmosphere and cosy upstairs tabled section where you can hire out privately
We called in here for a drink and a quick bite to eat. It took 40 minutes for our order of fries and pork scratchings to arrive. When the food eventually arrived it was dumped on the table in a paper bag. No plates, cutlery, napkins etc. I never usually write reviews but was so disappointed with this place and the service!
Avoid! There are much better places in Soho!
Staff couldn't pour a pint, were arsey when asked simply to top-up an under-filled ale, and fix a flat lager. Then attempting to pass blame by overhearing the bartender saying "I think he's drunk" to his supervisor (it was the second drink of the afternoon being ordered)
