OK BBQ in Soho. Good sized portions but not much in the way of presentation. Your order is sort of presented as a concept and then you decide which sauce to finish it off with, as if BBQ was really just a sauce on meat. Quite cramped upstairs with the over-lit area suggesting the crowd should eat it and beat it, but the locals like to linger. Didn't help that there was a football match on (multiple televisions), so many of the boys just hung around to watch

There appears to be a well-stocked bar, which looks out of place in the cafeteria surroundings. Downstairs looks like a different place - darker with banquettes

1 ⭐️ for the good food

1 ⭐️ for the good drinks

1 ⭐️ for the nice decor

-1 ⭐️ for the twenty minute wait to be served

-1 ⭐️ for the rudest waitress ever whom I called over after the looong wait and rudely said ‘it’s not my job to serve..’
Well darling, rather than sit on your phone at the front go and bloody fetch someone who will! (And then have the nerve to ask for a 12.5% service fee on the bill!)

I was in town for work and felt like BBQ. However, when I walked in the place and was finally sat down, I noticed dirty tables (e.g. not cleaned up by staff) and yet there were maybe 8 other customers at four tables in the place. After putting my menu down, I waited and waited and no one came to my table. I asked the hostess if I had to order at the bar and she said no. I actually watched the clock: from the time I put my menu down to when I ordered took well over 10 minutes. And when I finally did order, the food for the table next to me came out before mine even though they ordered after me. Furthermore, when may order came out they forgot part of it (the corn; which was actually dry, old and flavourless so I just left it). I finished my drink quickly but was offered none despite trying to get someone’s attention. I had to get up to go to the server to ask to pay. I was not asked how my experience was, etc. The food was fine but not worth the price. It’s also worth noting that you are charged for service (12.5%) and this is automatically added to the bill... I won’t be back, sadly.

Tasty American BBQ and sports bar. Staff are very polite, Portions are generous, decor is a bit dated, but ultimately comfortable. Not too loud and some good offers on happy hour cocktails.

Second time here. Food that melts in the mouth and friendly service. Easy to book ahead for 8 people.
Lost a star by being put in "the cave," this downstairs spot is just behind the bar, where it's a bit cluttered, an area in constant use and had a leaking ceiling, which happens whenever it rains. Has it's own TV that wasn't even on. Nothing wrong with the service, just awkward to pass th foods and drinks down the table.
The place is a foodie gem, the downstairs is better than the upstairs, just ask not to be seated in the cave and you can have a five star time with ease.
