About us

Blanchette Soho is a French bistro serving simple, classic and inventive French food. Its concept is based on the idea of sharing, from smaller snacks such as Croque Monsieur, Crispy frog’s legs, charcuterie and cheese, to larger traditional dishes with a Blanchette twist. A fine selection of drinks, including a variety of French wines and classic cocktails, are also available.Founded in 2013 by brothers Maxime, Malik and Yannis, the quintessentially Parisian restaurant is named after their mother. Maxime and Yannis have, between them, almost 30 years of experience in hospitality having worked in top restaurants across London, New York and Paris.Music also plays a big part at Blanchette, with Malik, founder of sound design company La Musique du Faubourg, providing the soundtrack to ensure a buzzing and convivial atmosphere.Private dining is available in The Jungle Room, Blanchette's dedicated space for private parties. It accomodates up to 14 people and it features a stunning hand-painted rain forest themed mural by artist Aldo Gigli.

Great quality French style tapas. The service was attentive. Best dishes were the duck and ratatouille. However, you're a French restaurant, you can't charge for bread. All of those dishes, I would have loved some bread for the excess sauce because the flavours were great especially mussels. (five stars otherwise)

Absolutely delicious French style tapas. Went for lunch around 1pm, was reasonably busy so probably a good idea to book a table in advance. Every dish was fantastic, good wine list, not at all over priced. Relaxex atmosphere, loved the decor, staff were friendly! Loved it!

one of my favourite dinner destinations at the moment. I usually go to my local one on Brick Lane, but have this one a try too as we had theatre later. super quirky & cosy. perfect for sharing food or not. But the best thing about this place that even though they are not a vegan restaurant they have an awesome vegan menu. 👌🏾

Friendly staff, delicious food & its affordable! Whats not to love. They make small plates of food which is ideally for sharing so if you like pecking from your friend/family/lovers food then this is the place for you.

I find it quite reprehensible that anyone should go to this restaurant and find the food, service , price good. I went for a celebratory meal last night on Sunday and found the whole experience the worst meal I have ever eaten in my life. Firstly, there was no set meal as advertised, secondly, we were told that the food was Tapas and one had to order 2 or 3 main meals each.. This was ridiculous as the prices were exorbitant on their own. Each main was at least £10 and we were told that they were only small portions, therefore we ordered the fries to go with the meal in order to fill us up.. The portions were dire to say the least, thank god we ordered the fries else we would have left starving. Firstly we ordered olives and bread, and initially the bread came in a paper bag, if that was not bad enough, the rest of the meal was even worse. I re-iterate the portions were small and not particularly tasty and the price for the meal was extortionate. We only had 1 course and the bill was £30 each without a starter , and without a dessert. Thank god we did not have their desserts and went elsewhere. Do yourself a favour go to a decent restaurant like The Ivy where we all had a fabulous meal for about £30 each on a Sunday 3 courses, well cooked and service great. That was the last time I shall ever go to this restaurant. Do yourself a favour try somewhere else. Should you wish to try this food, I suggest you eat a meal first!
