Blanchette Soho is a French bistro serving simple, classic and inventive French food. Its concept is based on the idea of sharing, from smaller snacks such as Croque Monsieur, Crispy frog’s legs, charcuterie and cheese, to larger traditional dishes with a Blanchette twist. A fine selection of drinks, including a variety of French wines and classic cocktails, are also available.Founded in 2013 by brothers Maxime, Malik and Yannis, the quintessentially Parisian restaurant is named after their mother. Maxime and Yannis have, between them, almost 30 years of experience in hospitality having worked in top restaurants across London, New York and Paris.Music also plays a big part at Blanchette, with Malik, founder of sound design company La Musique du Faubourg, providing the soundtrack to ensure a buzzing and convivial atmosphere.Private dining is available in The Jungle Room, Blanchette's dedicated space for private parties. It accomodates up to 14 people and it features a stunning hand-painted rain forest themed mural by artist Aldo Gigli.
French style tapas, at about £10 or slightly more per plate. We had 8 plates, 3 desserts and 4 drinks for £140. The food was generally very good, and the service was prompt and friendly. Favourite dishes were the leeks, the squid and the ratatouille. It isn’t too busy, so we managed to book the night before too. Good soho option.
Everything great. Helpful and kind waitresses. Amazing cheese and drinks. Love it.
Good, but the cigar was missing. Very busy and our mains arrived before we'd finished our starters. The food was lovely. Atmosphere was great. Would come back. Needs a little attention to detail.
French style tapas! Really love the squid and the lamb. Busy on a Friday night, but still great service
Tapas style French food, mini plates of full flavoured food. Although the food was extremely high in garlic content which could be smelt and tasted two days later, it was very good food. The wine was OK, served in an anonymous carafe, which there was no choice in. £120 for two, six plates with wine.
