About us

Japanese food doesn’t get any better than Atarita-Sushi. Sit outside in the sunshine or head indoors to order fresh sushi to go. Watch the delicate preparation by specialist chefs who enjoy a chat with their customers. Feast on fresh tuna hamachi or scallop sashimi and ponder which shop to explore next.

Great sushi. Bizarrely good prices for food in that part of town. very close to a nice park for a quiet picnic.

I have to agree that this place just isn't the same since the refurbishment. Atari-ya was one of the best places for sushi. And now sushiology has just become like most prepacked sushi chains. They don't even do the negitoro donburi anymore which was my favourite (a big reason why I kept coming back even after they raised the price). The quality has definitely dropped and I can't see a way back now. Such a shame!

Fresh sushi at cheap prices! My to-go place and I loved the chirashi bowl there and all the different sushi too. The people are friendly. Gets abit crowded during meal times (esp in Dec), so go early to get a seat. Worth it to eat here if you’re looking for Asian food, especially if you’re at Oxford Street.

This used to be one of the best places for Sushi in central London. Since the refurbishment the quality has dropped massively. A huge disappointment

Refurbed for no reason a few weeks ago. Now there are no tables inside. 2 tables on the street. You pay more for less. Fewer ingredients and smaller portions served in a cardboard bowl. Miso from a vending machine. First time I've ever had bones in sushi. Staff say the regulars have never returned after their first visit after the the refurb. Not surprised.
