The Mad Hatter's afternoon tea at the Sanderson was one of the *best* parts of my recent trip to London. The hotel is beautiful, and the garden space where we were seated was lovely as well.
The whole experience is full of fun, cheeky details that made us feel like we were on an adventure in Wonderland, while still maintaining the sophistication of a traditional afternoon tea.
The staff was professional and accommodating, and sat us ahead of our booking. The food was plentiful, elegant, and delicious. They also arranged some lovely vegetarian treats for my sister and had good knowledge of all of the different food and drinks being served.
I don't write reviews very often, but this place was truly memorable and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to do something a little bit different on a special occasion. I'll definitely be back!
Booked the Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea for my partner's birthday. The outdoor area was breathtaking and the food was delicious. A slice of cake with a candle was a great touch for the birthday. We did have to wait 15 mins for a table even though we booked in advance and the staff were not very attentive. Overall, it was a great experience and the Alice in Wonderland theme was lovely.
Our experience was about to become horrible because of Charlotte . She made us wait 30 minuets, allowed two groups to enter a head of us without a booking , and was racist although she knew that we called early and said they had free spots. The only thing that made this experience unforgettable and special was all thanks to Mr Edward , he treated us with complete respect and gave us one of the best tables and his services were fast and he was kind,he made us want to come back again if only Charlotte wasn’t there. Many thanks to Mr. Edward
For Mr. Edward sake 5 stars
For Charlotte -5 stars
Really great afternoon tea. My friend took me for my birthday and we had a great Alice in wonderland experience. All the place settings and cake stands and little cakes fitted right in with the theme. I had the Cheshire cat tea, which was delicious with a hint of chocolate - wish I could buy it! Our waiter was really welcoming and attentive (but not too attentive). We sat outside and even though it was the middle of winter we still felt warm and comfortable thanks to the heaters and blankets on the chairs. I'd definitely go again!
Experienced the 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' today at the Sanderson. Food was gorgeous, the 'Queen of Hearts' tea choice was lovely. And the service from our particular member of staff was superb. I highly recommend and thank you for making my birthday even more special !
