About us

Relaxed luxury in the heart of Mayfair, our ethos embraces the art of shared dining with a sophisticated yet unassuming setting. May Fair Kitchen evokes an ambience to recreate the culinary delights of the Mediterranean. In the ‘El Dolce Semplice’ afternoon tea, traditional sandwiches have been replaced by a trio of bruschetta and pan con tomate while classic scones are transformed with Amaretto or Sicilian lemon and served with orange and nectarine preserve and vanilla mascarpone. Sweet treats include churros with chocolate sauce, tiramisu, a white peach and oregano panna cotta and a flourless chocolate and orange cake, as well as a selection of loose tea or coffee. For an extra special treat, enjoy a glass of champagne to toast your afternoon tea in style.

I go there mainly for the cigar lounge, but I pay a visit to the kitchen before. Good quality food, ok prices for London. Very polite and helpful staff.

One will have high expectation from food at May Fair Kitchen but the food was very average, nothing special - neither in presentation nor in taste. One could probably have the same quality at average Spanish tapas or Italian cicchetti place.

Very poor. One of the poorest service that I have had restaurants at 4 or 5 star hotels in the UK. The waiters started bringing one place at a time for one diner, the service you would expect in a canteen style restaurant. Then waited for 1.5 hour for the last course.

Had to keep on a look-out for waiter even small things like water on the table and wait for half an hour to get water. Wait for anther half hour to get bill and then another long wait and calling other staff to take the payment.

Verdict: Hugely overly priced restaurant for average food and very poor service. Not recommended.

Beautiful food, would highly recommend the tandoori lamb chops! The restaurant itself is quite compact as tables all close together. Very good pornstar martini! Outstanding breakfast aswel!

The food was ok and personally I expected it to be better. The music was too loud making it hard to actually chat but apparently that's part of their concept. Even turning it down was not an option. Started off with some food which was a bit too spicy and had to keep asking for a refill of tap water opposed to just receiving a can for the whole table..
The sorbet was good but I don't think anything can go wrong with this.
The BBQ chicken pizza was good too as well as the bruscetta.
Friendly staff too.
