A place to go with friends before or after drinks.
Always happy with the food and the staff are friendly. My favourite and the best by far from everyone who works there is Mesha. With the way she looks after me and my friends every time we go there for food in AMAZING. Her service honestly is for high class restaurant!! She is one of the reasons I will choose to go there. The only think I don't like is the people at the fort door when you walk in to ask for a table... They should be more nice and friendly with the customers. We go there to give our money ,have a good time and enjoy....

It is currently under refurbishment upstairs (October 2017) and the entrance is through an open fire escape which means the main dining area downstairs is drafty and quite chilly. I would advise requesting a table at the back. The toilets during my last visit left a lot to be desired and all but one of the cubicles had toilet paper. The staff also seemed notably less attentive than before and this all distracted from the experience. The food was still tasty, but they have reduced their drink menu options too, so on the whole the restaurant feels like it's best years are behind it.

Excellent food. Ended up sitting outside as both downstairs and upstairs were full and expecting quite a wait but had beer jackets on so was no bother. Would recommend but expect a wait if going of an evening!

Good food, good prices. I'm from the American south and while this isn't quite American BBQ(TM), it's darn close. The best I've had in London, for sure. Tasty dishes, a good dining environment, and a very unique buffalo sandwich I can't get enough of. The upstairs is a more casual dining experience, while the downstairs is more of a "sit down" experience. Would recommend. I've been three times now and will be going back for more.

Frankly disappointing. We built a substantial platter for two and nothing on it blew me away. The baby back ribs were pretty dry and needed a lot of extra sauce. The burnt ends I'd imagined to be melt-in-the-mouth tender but were in fact rather chewy. The chicken wings didn't come with any dip (the whole reason I ordered them) and the fries were very average, a bit floury even. It was a huge pile of meat with all the same basic BBQ flavour. Service was fairly lax at times and in terms of atmosphere and decor it all felt a bit tired down in the dining room; sticky, greasy, and with an uninspiring interior. Wouldn't go again, unfortunately, even with 30% off.
