One of London's iconic live music venues, and still one of the best.

I hadn't been for too many years, but recently had the chance to see Karl Blau and I'm looking forward to getting back for some of the great shows they've got scheduled throughout the rest of the year already.

Cloakroom on your way in and a bar at each end means you don't need to get stuck behind too large a queue - and the fact the bars are at either end of the same room means you don't miss anything anyway.

Top notch venue with a regularly great lineup of acts on their way - definitely worth checking out whether you're visiting London briefly or just at a loose end.

Fantastic music venue. It's a small place, the history seeps off the walls and you're close up to the stage which makes the atmosphere even more electric. Good beers on tap and in bottles too... Music fans just have to go here.

Heard great blues here. Photos on walls alone worth visit. Basement club with atmosphere. If you want comfort and style don't go but if it's great music in club with history go.

Great location to watch a gig in central london, (one of the few that wasn't destroyed by crossrail). Layout is good, a wide stage that allows you to feel close to the band bars at either end of the venue serving a good selection of beer and craft ale.

Full of musical heritage. This venue has an unusual layout, with the stage in the middle side of one longer room, but that means you are never that far from the stage, and with a bar at each end of the room never that far from a bar either.
