Venue hasn't changed much since the 60's but great ambience if the music is good. Bar prices not ridiculous either.

It's the smallest and hottest venue but I love it! Very nice for intimate gigs, a good selection of beers and I've never been in there and they've had too many people. Nice place but what is up with the a/c placement guys!?

The 100 Club is legendary for those with even a passing knowledge of musical history but I'm ashamed to say that's taken me this long to actually enter the place. Situated on the Northern fringe of an ever-changing Soho the 100 Club stands as a bastion to all that made London great, two fingers raised defiantly to the face of the corporate takeover that has seen much of the real West End trampled in a rush.

We visited for the main night of the 40th Anniversary gig of the original 1976 Punk Festival, seeing tribute acts to Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Sex Pistols though sadly The Damned act were replaced with Johnny Thunders stand-ins.

Music aside (and how great was all of it?) the club, the clientele, the staff even the price of the bloody beer where all a throwback to a happier, carefree time. I haven't experienced a buzz like this in a long time. The Old London lives, and how!

Don't come here seeking plush, over-priced 21st century tourist fodder. Come here with some perspective and go home with the comforting reassurance that somewhere a candle still burns for the Good Old London Town we all remember and love.

For now...

Right little venue with a decent selection of beers. Some good opportunities for close-up band watching!

Can't believe this place is still open, it is a living piece of history. You are guaranteed a good cheap gig here.
